The Summer 2014 Plunder of Souls Blog Tour stops today at Drey’s Library, for my second appearance this month, and at the blog of my agent, friend, and fellow author, Lucienne Diver. At Drey’s Library, Sephira Pryce, the beautiful and dangerous thieftaking rival and nemesis of my hero, Ethan Kaille holds forth on the best inventions of modern technology. This is a post you will not want to miss. Especially because it coincides with the start of a giveaway of a signed hardcover copy of the recently released A Plunder of Souls, the third novel in my Thieftaker Chronicles!

At Lucienne’s blog, I write about where characters end and the author begins.  In what ways am I like Ethan Kaille?  In what ways am I different?  Read the post and find out.

And, of course, A Plunder of Souls is now out in hardcover, ebook, and audio book formats and is available for purchase at all booksellers.  I hope you enjoy it.

The Summer 2014 Plunder of Souls Blog Tour takes me to two more sites today.  I have an article up at the blog of Black Gate Magazine on “The Life and Times of a Midlist Author.”  It’s actually a follow up to an article by Garrett Calcaterra that appeared last year at Black Gate. Garrett interviewed me for the article and I thought it was an important enough subject that I should revisit it this year.  I hope you find it interesting.

I am also at Drey’s Library, where Ethan Kaille, the hero of A Plunder of Souls and the other Thieftaker books, takes readers on a brief tour of Boston as it appears in the summer of 1769.  This was a really fun post to write, and I hope you have as much fun reading it.

Today on the Blog Tour

June 30, 2014

Plunder Of Souls bannerToday, the Summer 2014 A Plunder of Souls Blog Tour shifts into high gear, or at least into a higher gear.  I have two appearances on the schedule today.  The first is at the blog of my wonderful friend, Faith Hunter, who (along with Misty Massey and me) is one of the co-founders of the Magical Words blog site.  The post is about creating rich, believable, compelling settings for urban fantasies.

I am also interviewed today at Fantastical Imaginations, a wonderful genre-oriented site run by my friend, Dominick Swennen. The interview covers a good deal of ground and was fun to do.  I hope you enjoy it, as well as the post at Faith’s site.

And for those of you not keeping track of the minutes, as I am, the July 8 release of A Plunder of Souls, the third book in the Thieftaker Chronicles, is only eight days away!!  Woot! And you don’t even have to wait that long to make sure that you have your copy ready; you can pre-order it now!!

The Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Blog Tour stops today at SFNovelists, the group blog I help maintain as part of a group of over 100 published authors of speculative fiction. This newest post is about the little details I like to use to help breathe life into my historical fantasy novels, the Thieftaker books (Thieftaker and Thieves’ Quarry). The post is called “The Little Details that Make Historical Fiction Come to Life.” I hope you enjoy it.
