Plunder Of Souls bannerToday, I am happy to announce that the preliminary schedule for the Summer 2014 Plunder of Souls Blog Tour is up and available for perusal at the D.B. Jackson website.  This is a preliminary schedule not because I expect the dates on there to change, but rather because I expect to be adding more and more events all summer long.  Right now, I have more than two dozen stops planned.  Plunder Of Souls blog tour buttonI also have these cool new graphics that the wonderful people at Tor came up with — the banner up top and the “blog tour button.”  Don’t you love them?  I do.

A Plunder of Souls, for those who don’t know, is the third volume in my Thieftaker  Chronicles, which began with Thieftaker and Thieves’ QuarryThieftaker is available now in hardcover, paperback, ebook format and audio format.  Thieves’ Quarry is out in haardcover, ebook, and audio, and will be released in paperback on June 3.  For more on these books and all the thieftaker short fiction currently available, please visit my website.

I think it bears mentioning that blog tours are impossible without the generosity and forbearance of blog tour hosts, and I am so grateful to all the great folks who intend to welcome me to their sites this summer.

I am also happy to report that my appearances page (also at the D.B. Jackson website) has been updated with several book signing dates.  I’ll be doing a small book tour this summer in the Carolinas and Virginia; again, I hope and expect to add more dates as the summer approaches.  And I hope to see many of you along the way.

I am home from a very successful signing tour, and so thought I would use today’s installment of the Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Blog Tour to offer a sort of post mortem on my trip. You can find the post, “Anatomy of a Signing Tour,” at, the group blog on the business and craft of writing fantasy that I maintain, under the name David B. Coe, with fellow authors Faith Hunter, Misty Massey, Mindy Klasky, John Hartness, and James Tuck, among others.  I hope you enjoy it!

Yesterday was a travel day, so I neglected to post about the latest developments on the Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Blog Tour.  But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t have posts go up.

First, in case you missed it, Black Gate Magazine put up my Interview With Ethan Kaille (composed with Dominick Swennen).  It’s a really fun interview and you can find it here.

Also, I have another Q&A up with my friend and Magical Words colleague Diana Pharaoh Francis. We covered a good number of topics relating to writing and research.  The interview is here.

Finally, I thought I would mention that the Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Signing Tour is also still going on.   Tonight, Faith Hunter and I will be signing at the Books-A-Million in Gastonia, North Carolina, and tomorrow night I will be reading and signing at Malaprops Bookstore in Asheville, NC.  Stop by and say hello.

It’s Monday, and as I roll toward Virginia to begin the Summer 2013 THIEVES’ QUARRY Signing Tour, the Summer 2013 Blog Tour rolls on as well.  I will have a post up today at the blog of my kind and talented friend, Kate Elliott, on the ins and outs of doing historical research for writing.  Kate’s blog is here.

And I will also be answering a few questions today from my friend Brandy Schillace, who I have already visited once on this year’s Blog Tour.  I am most grateful to Brandy for having me back on her site, which is here.

I hope that you will check out both posts.  And I hope to see some of you this week during the signing tour.  More from the road as it happens.
