The Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Blog Tour rolls on with two more posts today. One is a different sort of post from most of the others I’ve done: It’s an interview with Ethan Kaille, the lead character in my Thieftaker series. Thanks to some excellent questions from Dominick Swennen, who is hosting me at his Fantastical Imaginations site, we had a lot of fun with the Q&A. You can find it here.

Today’s second post can be found at the blog site of my good friend and Magical Words colleague, Mindy Klasky. The post is about the magic system I developed for the Thieftaker books, and about the guidelines I usually follow when creating magic for my books. Here is the link.

I hope you enjoy both posts.

The Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Blog Tour moves into high gear today with three posts going up at various sites. The first, which can be found at http://www.sfnovelists.com, tells about the evolution of the Thieftaker books from alternate world fantasies to historical fantasies. The post is called “The Book I Didn’t Write.”

My second appearance of the day is an interview I did with my wonderful friend C.E. Murphy. The Q&A is up at her blog and it includes a book giveaway!

Finally, I also have a post up at the Sideshow Freaks Blogspot, the blog of Orson Scott Card’s Intergalactic Medicine Show. The post is about the different levels at which a book works, for both author and reader. Follow this link. I hope you enjoy all of the posts.

Today the Summer 2013 Thieves’ Quarry Blog Tour resumes with a post on writing exercises. The post can be found at http://magicalwords.net, the group blog on the business and craft of writing fantasy that I maintain, under the name David B. Coe, with fellow authors Faith Hunter, Misty Massey, Mindy Klasky, John Hartness, Kalayna Price, and James Tuck, among others. The post kicks off a week of posts at various sites across the net; in fact, it begins a pretty solid month of posting. For more on my schedule of upcoming virtual appearances, please visit this page at the D.B. Jackson website. Today’s entry is called “Writing Exercises: Word Choice and Voice” I hope you enjoy this post and the entire THIEVES’ QUARRY Blog Tour.
